Fun and creativity for kids next week!

Join us for a fun and creative experience, with Creative Healthy Holidays at Artworks during the autumn half-term, from the 24th to 28th October 2022. Children aged between 6-12 will be able to take part in a variety of art activities, learn about healthy eating and do some physical activities throughout the program. On Friday 28th of October at 1pm, we invite parents, guardians and other family members to join us for a celebratory meal and mini exhibition.

Creative Healthy Holidays was a big success during the summer, with the children saying that they love art because it makes them creative, and it’s fun! During the summer, they enjoyed “everything!” especially “making friends and being creative.” Some of the activities that they enjoyed were clay sculptures, drawing, painting, reading, games and learning new skills. Time and time again we heard that the children loved the activities to the extent of wanting to do it again.

All of it! It was all so fun and I would love to do it again.

Almost 100% of the children said that they enjoyed the sessions. Most of them enjoyed the healthy food that they were served and all of the children said that they had tried a new activity that day.

I liked everything about this session today. I have made new friends and have really enjoyed all of the activities. I liked everything about it. The staff have been very kind, fun and friendly.

Parents and guardians also felt that the program was worthwhile. When asked what difference the program made to their children, the replies were that their child was “expressing their feelings,” “happy to come everyday and make friends,” “becoming more creative” and more positive responses. Many would recommend the program to other parents thinking of sending their children, saying “it’s a fantastic idea, you won’t regret it and you get time to yourself too,” “it’s brilliant, it’s a very relaxing, supportive environment,” “highly recommend, you get to learn new skills and meet new people” and “I’ve been telling my neighbours to bring their children, to boost their confidence.”

Being creative using various tools and techniques. Learning new skillsets and enjoying a healthy meal throughout!

Nearly every parent and guardian rated the program as 5 out of 5, while all others rated it 4 out of 5. They all said that they would be interested in coming to a similar holiday program.

The sessions have been well-organised and well-supervised
