Your South Pennines Park

Over Summer 2021 community groups took part in a mobile photography and media project run by professional Yorkshire based photographer and radio journalist Karol Wyszynski. These workshops took students on a visual journey to become an artist. Together with Karol students explored the medium of photography in the South Pennines Park. They learned about composition, context and concept and create a photo essay and came together to share and celebrate their work in the Gallery.

The project encouraged participants to share their images and views of the South Pennines Park - the people's park they live in. Participants could explore themselves, the area they live in and capture the essence of what the park means to them, giving their own very unique perspective.
