About our organisation
Everybody Arts is an innovative arts and education charity based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Since 2008, Everybody Arts has been a place where the opportunity to experience the benefits of art and understand its value is available to everybody, regardless of age, ability, background, or circumstance -hence our name.
We champion art for everyday life and think that opportunity and engagement with art can make things better for everyone. Our time, space and resources are dedicated to supporting artistic development, community and imagination, as such we are home to a thriving creative community where everyone is welcome.
Ethos. At the heart of Everybody Arts is a deep-rooted commitment to community, creativity and wellbeing. We embrace a holistic approach that recognises the inherent therapeutic qualities of artistic expression. We foster an environment that values empathy, creativity, and collaboration, where people can explore their potential, discover new perspectives, and develop resilience. We are here to help develop artists, no matter where they are starting from, and where they are going, and whatever their background.
About The Bloom Programme
The Bloom Programme will offer support, training, and mentorship to young women, empowering them to build careers in the cultural-health sector while enhancing their wellbeing. The programme focuses on engaging young women registered with Calderdale’s CAMHS services, creating pathways into professional environments and work experiences.
Through three bespoke six-month training programmes delivered across this 3 year programme, Bloom supports the transition from youth to adult health and social services. Participants are paid the real living wage, enabling them to earn, learn, and maintain their wellbeing simultaneously.
Running alongside the traineeships, the Bloom Network will engage a larger group of women using the Community of Practice model to create a safe space for young women working in the cultural health sector to meet, check in with one another and share skills and experiences. This facilitated network will also offer access to a community of peers and contacts for the trainees after their programme commences.
Through this programme we hope to offer the young women who take part an incredible set of skills, tools, contacts and capacities important for maintaining their wellbeing through personal and professional life.
