Our Greenham
On this date, the 5th September 2021 it is 40 years since women first arrived at Greenham Common in Berkshire to protest against the British Government's decision to store Nuclear Weapons on the site. For the next 19 years women stayed at the site to protest, resist and raise awareness. Together they created Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp, one of the longest and most famous examples of feminist protest.
We feel extremely privileged to be able to show at this time Calder Valley CND’s ‘Our Greenham’ Exhibition featuring objects and artefacts made at and for the peace camp’s protest activities.
Head to our exhibition page to learn more about the protest, find visiting details, badge making workshops, a virtual exhibition tour and more!
