Rabia Begum
Rabia Begum is a student, artist, and activist based in Greater Manchester and Liverpool.
She has recently co-curated the Climate Justice Gallery at Manchester Art Gallery and works on the Freelance Family Learning team. Rabia has worked on several projects with young people in Manchester. These include creating and organising workshops based on the theme βReduce, Reuse, Recycle and Refuseβ, working as a Youth Co-Researcher, collaborating with Local Alternatives, which set out to reimagine local environments with children and young people.
Representing young voices within Climate Justice, Rabia has appeared on BBC Politics North West, She has worked on Voices For Action: and delivered her workshop/ installation Future Roots at Oldham Library, a project by Crossing Footprints as part of the Great Big Green Week.
At the Walker Art Gallery, she worked as a Steering Group Member on the community-led research and display project on The Colonial Legacies of the Sandbach family.
