Free Weekly sessions to support your wellbeing

Thanks to support generously received from Healthy Minds Calderdale and Rethink Mental Illness we are able to continue and expand our weekly Art for Wellbeing sessions through out 2023, reaching even more people affected by mental health inequalities.

Our Artworks for Wellbeing Peer Group will continue as a free weekday session open to anyone who wants to use Art to support their mental health and wellbeing.

As well as continuing this weekly offer, we are so excited to be able to expand our provision to create Wellbeing at the Weekend.

We have spaces available on both sessions, you can learn more and sign up via the buttons below.

Art is really important to me for managing my mental health but i struggle to motivate myself, so having a dedicated time and place to do something creative has been really helpful for me. There’s just the right balance between structure and support and the freedom to do your own thing
— Art for Wellbeing Peer Group Member

The creativity-based structure of these weekly sessions will provide opportunities to socialise and gain confidence in an environment where we are all valued.

After establishing the group with the support of funding from Creative Minds (a fantastic NHS linked Charity) in 2019 and supported in 2021 by Voluntary Action Calderdale the group was facing a gap in its funding and under serious financial pressure threatening its continuation.

Thanks to Healthy Minds and Rethink Mental illness our Artworks for Wellbeing Peer Group can not only continue to ensure this vital provision remains free and accessible for those that need it most but expand to reach even more people.

We believe Art is vital for wellbeing and brings a range of benefits to peoples lives.

We also recognise that opportunities to learn and share creative skills that support wellbeing are not available to everyone due to cost or availability.

If you can make a donation of any size to support our work you will be helping us to continue this work.
