Our artist led courses and workshops are suitable for all abilities covering a wide variety of practices. Most classes take place in the Everybody School of Art with all materials and resources provided.
We have developed pricing options for a range of financial circumstances. Please consider which option applies to your own circumstance before booking.

Family Textiles: Inspired by Moquette
Join us for a family drop-in workshop, exploring the techniques, processes and patterns of textile moquette fabric. We will have a range of exploratory activities suitable for all ages, including mark-making, drawing and collage.
Booking is not required, but helps us to plan our sessions. All are welcome, whether you are an existing member of our community or a first time visitor.

Inspired by Moquette: Drawing, Collage and Textiles
This one day course will introduce you to the techniques and processes used in textile design, taking inspiration from historical moquette fabrics. We will start the day at Calderdale Industrial Museum, drawing directly from archives and taking inspiration for colour, marks and patterns from Holdsworth's moquette collection. In the afternoon we will return to Everybody Arts and develop these through a range of processes include collage.

Creative Screenprinting: Inspired by Moquette
This introductory workshop will introduce you to the technique of screen printing, exploring a range of processes including expressive screen print and stencil-based printing. We will draw directly from archives, taking inspiration for colour, marks and patterns from Holdsworth's moquette collection, and then develop these through a range of screenprint processes.

Moquette Textile Design
This 4-week course will introduce you to the techniques and processes used in textile design, taking inspiration from historical moquette fabrics. We will draw directly from archives, taking inspiration for colour, marks and patterns from Holdsworth's moquette collection, and then develop these through a range of processes include print and weave.

Seasonal Life Drawing
Join us a for unique full day workshop and explore the creative potential of life drawing with a seasonal theme.
Winter Warmth Family Drop-In
Drop in to our Family Winter Warmth session from 10am-12pm, and explore a range of creative activities, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Drawing from Nature: Botanical Alchemy
Join us for a creative afternoon this December, exploring the wonders of nature through drawing.


Festive Printmaking
This one day workshop will give participants a chance create a festive reduction lino print.

Life Drawing
This term our Life Drawing sessions are taking a more relaxed approach, as classes will be self directed, giving individuals the time to develop their own practice through drawing from a live model each week, in the Everybody Gallery.

Winter Warmth Family Drop-In
Drop in to our Family Winter Warmth session from 10am-12pm, and explore a range of creative activities, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Ceramics: Improvers Course
For those developing their skills in hand-building and throwing ceramics techniques.

Youth Art
Come and have some creative fun and learn about a whole range of art techniques. For young people aged 12-16.

Ceramics: Wheel Throwing Course
This termly 6-week course explores the skills and techniques of throwing pots on the wheel. Join our ceramics tutor, Matt Cameron as he helps you get to grips with the processes involved with this unique art form.

Art Club

Complete Ceramics - A Beginner's Course
Our brand new ceramics course has the complete beginner in mind. With so many different techniques to explore, when starting your ceramics journey, it can be quite overwhelming and difficult to know where to begin!
This 6 week course is designed to let you try many of the main ceramics techniques - both hand building and wheel throwing - and enable you to create kiln ready pieces to take home.

Drawing for Beginners and Improvers
This 6-week course will explore skills, techniques and methods of drawing that will develop your visual ability and skills. Assignments with clear, step-by-step instructions will develop your understanding of the practice of drawing. You will be encouraged to embrace an experimental approach towards drawing and develop your own creative style. All materials are provided.

Drawing from Nature: Autumn Plants
Join us for a creative afternoon this Autumn time, exploring the wonders of nature through drawing.

Autumn Monoprint
This one day workshop will give participants a chance to re-create the colours of autumn using leaves and plants to produce exciting and vibrant hand made monoprints.

On this full day workshop, you'll be introduced to the skills and techniques unique to creating pottery on the wheel and given plenty of time to practice them in a relaxed environment.

DIY Action Plan: Workshops for Young People
Work with local artists Andy Abbott and Michael Powell to co-design the future.
We are looking for young people aged 10-14 to create a DIY Action plan in response to our DIY Utopia project.

Join us for our NEW Sketchbook club! Learn about drawing and advancing your sketchbook skills on this 6 week course

On this full day workshop, you'll be introduced to the skills and techniques unique to creating pottery on the wheel and given plenty of time to practice them in a relaxed environment.

Ceramics: Beyond the Cylinder (Second Date)
This workshop is aimed at those wishing to improve their throwing technique and try more advanced techniques on the wheel. Throwing larger, more complex forms, experimenting with various surface techniques, and improving your trimming will all be tackled in this 3-hour workshop with Artist Educator Matt Cameron.
Suitable for all levels of student, from beginners to those with more experience.

Creative Healthy Holidays: Week 3
Come and join us for a jam-packed programme of fun and exciting healthy and creative activities for children aged between 6 and 12 years old, with artist educators leading a different inspirational activity each day.
